Iowa Leather Weekend Canceled for October 2020

Returning in October 2021 after COVID risks decline

To my dearest friends and family,

In light of ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks across the US and continued economic fallout, the executive leadership team at Iowa Leather Weekend have had to make some tough decisions. Our utmost concern is, and always will be, the safety and health of our staff, contestants, participants, families, and vendors. With that in mind, we have decided that it is in the best interest of all to cancel the 2020 Iowa Leather Weekend contest and pick back up in 2021. This decision does not come lightly. While we are hopeful that the situation does not keep us inside our homes until October, we understand that large gatherings will be a struggle if allowed at all, and the economic hardships that effect each and every one of our visitors are likely to last for quite a while.

The 2020 titleholder family has been offered an extension to their title year and will be given the opportunity to come back in 2021 for their individual step downs. They will continue to represent us at national contests as they come back online, as they have continued to be leaders of our community even in this time of crisis. Current ticket holders for the 2020 event will be contacted using the information provided at checkout. Ticketholders will have the option to receive credit to the 2021 event or a full refund of their 2020 package.

Iowa Leather Weekend will continue to be present and vigilant on our social media platforms and encourage you to reach out if you have questions or concerns. Stay safe, stay kinky, and we’ll see you all at Iowa Leather Weekend in October of 2021!
